Big Moose Lake Chemistry Graphs

The following graphs are provided, as an example, to show some of the monthly chemical data collected from Big Moose Lake since 1992. As noted, there is a great deal of variability from month to month and year to year depending mostly on weather patterns and significant storm events. The most severe chemical conditions in Adirondack waters occur in the spring during the snowmelt period when pollutants that have accumulated in the snowpack are being released with the melting waters. These graphs will be updated quarterly to show the changing chemistry of Big Moose Lake.
